Stephen Rendell – Sports Psychologist

Stephen is a Registered Psychologist who works at Corio Bay Sports Medicine Centre and Belmont Physiotherapy Centre. Stephens’s role involves working with athletes and non athletes on a range of issues and areas including: depression, anxiety, eating disorders, conflict management, anger management, sport performance issues, goal setting, stress management, relationships, self confidence, post injury / rehabilitation issues and counselling.
Stephen has enjoyed working with athletes from a range of sports such as: Australian Rules Football, golf, power lifting, middle distance running, diving, Paralympic athletes, cycling, basketball, netball and tennis to name a few. Some of the many teams and organizations Stephen has provided services for include; Calder Cannons Football Club TAC Cup, Melbourne Victory Women’s soccer team, Victorian Diving Association, Barwon Sports Academy and Sports Medicine Australia. Stephen incorporates a number of techniques when working with clients and organisations that include cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, and a psychodynamic psychotherapy approach.
Stephen is passionate about working with individuals to assist in overcoming personal barriers to achieving their goals and a happy, healthy wellbeing. Stephen’s qualifications include; Masters in Applied Psychology, Graduate Diploma Applied Psychology, Bachelor of Psychology, Bachelor Psychology, Bachelor Exercise Science and Human Movement. His personal sporting experiences include Australian Rules football with the Western Jets in the TAC cup and Williamstown Football Club in the VFL. Current hobbies include surfing, power lifting, and golf.
Craig Biddiscombe - Consultant and Facilitator

Craig works as a Consultant and Facilitator for Leading Teams Australia. Leading Teams Australia is a team of highly trained facilitators that exist to challenge and support individuals, teams and organisations to improve their performance. Leading Teams Australia has assisted numerous national and international elite sporting teams to build strong cultures based on Empowerment and Leadership development that has led to sustained high performance. This includes recent premiership teams in the AFL like the Sydney Swans, Geelong and Hawthorn Football clubs.
In 9 years as a facilitator with Leading Teams, Craig has delivered leadership and team development programs that have improved the performance of a range of corporate teams. Originally from Gippsland in Victoria, Craig moved to Geelong after being drafted to play in the AFL with the Geelong FC. After 4 years with Geelong FC and studying teaching, Craig relocated to Melbourne to play with the Richmond FC whilst also studying Exercise Science at the Australian Catholic University. On completing his time in the AFL Craig went on to study a Masters of Business Management degree that specialised in Organisation Development and Change Management. This degree only served to reinforce in Craig’s mind the need for skilled facilitators to assist corporate teams to develop and maintain an environment which is strong enough to cope with the difficult conversations around behaviour and performance. This environment ultimately allows them to perform at their best when under real pressure.
Some of Craig’s recent clients include senior leadership and staff teams at: Alcoa, Bendigo & Adelaide Bank, Triple M & B105 Brisbane, Treasury Wine Estates , WHK Group , The Gordon (Institute of Tafe), Harwood Andrews Lawyers, Adroit Insurance Group , City of Port Phillip, Deakin University and Western Region Health Centre.
Justin Edwards - Physiotherapist

Justin Edwards is a Physiotherapist with Corio Bay Health Group (Corio Bay Sports Medicine Centre/Northern Physiotherapy Clinic). Justin completed his Physiotherapy Degree at LaTrobe University, Bundoora, Vic, in 2000 and initially worked in Private Practice on the Gold Coast, Qld, with involvement treating Olympic, elite junior Rugby League, gymnastic and Surf Life Saving athletes.
He moved to Sydney, NSW, in 2004 working in Private Practice servicing elite Rugby Union (Randwick) and Rugby League (South Sydney Rabbitohs, U21’s NRL). Moved to Geelong in 2006 to work with Corio Bay Sports Medicine Centre and Geelong Falcons Football Club. Currently continues as Geelong Falcons Physiotherapist and manages Northern Physiotherapy Clinic as part of the Corio Bay Health Group.
Areas of interest include the following; Adolescent/Sporting Injuries, Hip/Groin pain including rehabilitation from Hip surgery. In addition to this Justin is a Credentialed McKenzie Therapist. Justin’s sport of choice is AFL and he his achievements include; Northern Knights TAC Cup Squad 1997, Premiership Player Warrandyte, EFL 1999 and Premiership Player Coolangatta, QFL, 2001.
Steven “Stoofa” Lewry - Strength and Conditioning, Personal Development and Motivation

Steven runs his own business and is a highly qualified and experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach. Steven’s extensive experience has seen him work with several elite sporting teams such as Geelong, Collingwood and Western Bulldogs Football Club as well as Melbourne Storm.
Steven’s experience is across a wide variety of sports, however he has a strong passion for running and much of his work focuses around running development. Steven himself is a sprinter and two time middle distance runner at the Iconic Stawell Gift. Throughout his career Steven has mentored and trained many athletes including Craig Mottram, James Bartell, Cameron Ling, Trudy McIntosh and world champion skier Jacinta Carroll.
The Victorian Fitness Academy is another avenue where Steven’s imparts his skills and experience on students studying Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness.
In addition to his strength and conditioning experience Steven has been able to transfer his skills and experience into the field of Personal Development and Motivation. Steven work in this field ranges from individual athletes and sporting teams to the corporate arena where he specialises in staff development, motivation and leadership training.
Anne Buso – Sports Dietician

Anne is a Sports Dietician who has run her own business for 16 years. Anne works with a broad range of clients covering many topics in both a practical and theory based format. Her areas of interest include sports nutrition (junior athletes), weight management, diabetes and food allergies and intolerances. Anne has the following qualifications; BSci plus Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics, she is a registered Sports Dietician with SDA and a member of DAA and a Level 1 Anthropometrics in relation to skin fold testing. Tennis is Anne’s sport of interest.
Tom King – Radio Journalist
Tom King has been a radio journalist since 2000, working in places as diverse as Tamworth, Newcastle, Albury-Wodonga and Shepparton, before returning to Geelong in 2007 as Sports Editor at K-ROCK & BayFM. A graduate of La Trobe University, Tom has also worked on a part-time basis with WIN Television and the Shepparton News, as well as contributing to both the Geelong Advertiser and Border Mail. Tom combines his work in the K-ROCK/BayFM newsroom with commentary duties as part of the K-ROCK Footy team and a range of MC and hosting jobs, including the Barwon Sports Academy and Football Geelong. Tom, 33, is married to former Geelong Flyers netballer and current Geelong Lady Supercats basketballer, Vicki and has a daughter, Leilani.
