Since 2008, BSA has supported more than 2,000 athletes across our region, helping talented young people develop their sporting potential and the skills they need to thrive beyond sport.

BSA works with talented athletes across a range of sports and pathways, providing development opportunities, education and support to help athletes progress.

1. Partner Sports Program
Our sport-specific programs provide selected athletes with access to athlete development, performance support and education alongside their sporting pathway.

Partner sports currently include:

2. Paralympics Australia Partnership
Through a strategic partnership with Paralympics Australia the Barwon Sports Academy supports athletes pursuing a pathway toward Paralympic sport, providing opportunities for development and connection with the broader high-performance sporting community.

3. Individual Membership (State Level) Program
Individual Membership provides an opportunity for athletes competing at state level and above to connect with BSA and access selected athlete development opportunities and benefits.

Entry into BSA varies depending on the program and sport.

Applications for the BSA intake generally close in late November each year, with programs running from February to December.
